General Katrin Kristoff | 34 | Rahell | Grand Cross Crusader

Katrin stands at a respectable 5’10, with broad shoulders and a fairly masculine build (shut up Jesse). Because of her habit of wearing formal men’s suits and little makeup, she’s let her white-blonde hair grow long to compensate for her other more masculine qualities. At first glance she’s sometimes mistaken for a man, but when she speaks there’s no doubt she’s a woman. Her voice is husky and quite feminine, and she has little trouble using it to her advantage.

Exceedingly devout, Katrin firmly believes every fortune and misfortune given to her comes directly from Freya. To please both the goddess and herself, she’s very dedicated to her position and sets a firm example for her subordinates. She’s very to-the-point and informal, and when confronted with attractive women, extremely flirtatious. She does little to hide her preference but doesn’t allow her many (however brief) relationships to interfere in any way with her responsibilities – enough so that she once left a girl locked in her rooms for nearly two days when she was called away suddenly for a meeting. At work, she’s single-minded.

Raised by stoutly religious parents, Katrin exceeded her younger brother in everything – gender, popularity, grades, and most notably, military skill. She completed her training with dedication and efficiency, and rose quickly through the ranks. Her brother remained a low-level wizard in the Arunafeltzan army, but he bested Katrin in a way she hadn’t expected – he met a young girl named Marek during his training. Both siblings immediately fell for her, and each courted her in secret from the other. But in the end, Marek consented to wed Kassus, and Katrin fell into depression. She believes Freya is disappointed in her (a huge blow to her pride), and that when she proves herself to the goddess Marek will leave her brother and love her instead. She began to hate Kassus, particularly after the birth of his two daughters. Regardless, she dotes upon her nieces, and visits them whenever possible – though usually to see Marek. There are many rumors that Katrin has tried to force Marek into an affair with her, but they’re untrue.
